Top 3 self-defense tactical gear

The importance of tactical gear cannot be over-emphasized, especially for a cop and law enforcement officers generally. The choice of self-defense gear can vary from person to person based on several reasons. Reasons ranging from the personal comfort of a tool to the prospective user to the location where the device is used.

However, a few tools that can make up tactical gear would be discussed briefly.

  • Stun gun

A stun gun is a hand-held, battery-powered, or electrically charged device designed to deliver a strong electric shock to stop an attacker. They don’t shoot bullets like the traditional guns; rather they shoot electricity into an attacker. A stun gun has two prongs at the end of the device. Touching an attacker with the prongs while pulling the trigger will cause a strong electrical current to go from the prongs through the attacker’s clothes into his body.

  • Steel Batons

A baton known as a nightstick, is a roughly cylindrical club made of wood, rubber, plastic, or metal. It is carried as compliance and defensive tool by law-enforcement officers, security guards, and military personnel. It is a very effective tactical tool that completes any tactical gear. A baton can be used defensively, offensively to strike or jab. It can aid in the application of arm locks.

  • Emergency Whistle or alarm.

You can use safety whistles or alarms to signal to others around that you require help and will assist search and rescue teams in locating a lost person. One way to use the emergency whistle is to use the distress signal of three blasts to get.

  • One blast – Where are you?
  • Two blasts – Come to me.
  • Three blasts- I need help.

With these tactical gears, you can be protected in the face of danger and vile attacks.
